  • 2026 will mark our 10th year of running Trans NZ. It has been quite the ride and one that will be sadly missed. I mean I won't say for sure that it won't return, but for now we have other areas of life to focus on for a few years - who knows maybe we will return with some new and exciting!

  • So if this event has been on your bucket list, then it is now time to act - we are announcing dates earlier then ever before and opening registration earlier then we ever have before to allow people to really plan and make it happen!

  • We use to sell out every year within hours of opening reg until 2020 when the pandemic hit - I suspect this year will go back to sell out with it being the final year - so mark the registration opening date in your calendar now!

 

REGISTRATION 2025

  • Registration Opens June 10th @ 9.00am Auckland Time

    • Sydney Aus: June 10th @ 9.00am

    • Pacific Canada/USA: June 10 @ 7.00am

    • London UK: June 9 @10.00pm

  • Make sure your group of friends all sign up at the same time if you all want to get in together. If one or a few of you miss out, then email us immediately and we will get the rest of your group in - as we know that the whole main point of an event like this is about coming with your buddies

  • But don't hesitate if you plan to sign up on your own - as you will make 100+ new friends during the week!

  • Upon registration you will be required to pay 50% deposit. Remaining payment is due October 1

  • Feb 21 is arrival day, Feb 22 to Feb 27 are the race days and Feb 28 is departure day

  • There are 3 x packages available - see below for details on each

- Custom designed 6 day course, professionally marked, hand picking the best locations to show case to you

- Option to get airport and downtown pickups from Christchurch on arrival day 

- Option to get a transfer back to Christchurch from Queenstown after the event completion 

- (but you are going to want to stay in Queenstown and/or fly out of Queenstown like 98% of participants do)

- 7 nights accommodation (the night before the event starts, through to the day after it has finished) Feb 24 - Mar 2

- This is either dorm style bunk bed accommodation or twin/triple share accommodation based on what package you choose

- Full breakfasts each day (6 total) and full dinner each night (7 total)

- Lunch each day

ALL INCLUSIVE - TRIPLE SHARE PACKAGE (60 SPOTS AVAILABLE) 

 

2026 Price - NZ$3,350 includes 15% GST tax (3.5% cc processing fee will be added if you choose to pay via credit card)

  • Includes everything listed above with the accommodation in triple share accommodation - eg 3 people per room

  • A great option if you are coming in a friends group of 3 people or a group of 5 people (where 2 of you can take the twin option and 3 of you can take the triple option). Or if you just want to save money

  • Rooms are mostly made up of 1 x bunk and 1 x single - so you will have to rock paper scissor for not the top bunk ðŸ˜‚

ALL INCLUSIVE - TWIN SHARE PACKAGE (60 SPOTS AVAILABLE)

  • Includes everything listed above with accommodation being twin share - eg 2 people to a room

  • Rooms are always 2 single beds and you won't be put in a room where you have to sleep on a top bunk

2026 Price NZ$1,500 including GST​

​

  • This package doesn't include meals - but does include: the final dinner on day 6 and includes all lunches and Beer at the finish line each day!!

  • It doesn't include your accommodation

  • You show up at the start line each day at the allocated location. 

  • Note some days may start and finish in different locations so will need to organize vehicle retrievals with others in this Package

  • We will only open up 10 spots in the package to start with until we see how the numbers go with the All Inclusive 

 

 

2025: TERMS/POLICY/PRIVACY:

​

  • We will not share any of your details from registration with any third party providers, your information is strictly kept within Trans BC

  • We are unable to provide any refunds if any of the 6 days during the event needs to be canceled last minute due to safety issues like extreme weather or fires. Your registration fees will have already been allocated to accommodation, meals, transport and other related event expenses at that time. We will do our best to move location or provide an alternative rad experience to keep the hype high. In the past 5 years we have not had to cancel any days. In 9 years of Trans NZ we have had to cancel 1 day due to extreme weather conditions...snow!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

​

    • 75% refund of full reg price - up to October 1, 2025

      • Equates to 50% refunded of deposit payments 

    • 50% refund of full reg price - from October  1 to December 1, 2025

      • Equates to no refund on deposit paid or if you have paid in full you get 50% refunded

    • 25% refund from December 1 2025 to January 1, 2026​

    • NO REFUNDS after January 1, 2026

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE:

 

  • It's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you purchase 'trip cancellation' once you pay for your entry. You can find trip cancellation either through your travel insurance or maybe your credit card covers it? Just google trip cancellation for your country. Please do not ask for a refund if you have to cancel above and beyond what is listed above in our refund policy as it's your choice whether to take out / find/buy a Trip Cancellation policy and if you choose not to, then that is your own risk you are willing to take, not ours! You can purchase a policy for as low as $76. So it's a no brainer to purchase this to cover your $3150 entry cost. Here is a suggestion for Trip Cancellation Insurance - I have no connection to them or fully know their policies but are just a place to start to research:

  • NZ Residence: 1 Cover NZ

  • Aussie Residence: 1 Cover Australia
